THE STAR FOUNDATION

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STAR FOUNDATION IN EVERY SECONDARY SCHOOL IN THE UK.

Following the enormous success of the S.T.A.R. Foundation Awards at The House of Lords in November 2009, the awards system is now in the process of being implemented in all secondary schools.

On November 9th, 2009, twenty-five young men and women, aged between eighteen and twenty-five, received the S.T.A.R. (Sociable, Trustworthy And Responsible) Awards at The House of Lords.

The ceremony was hosted by Lord King of West Bromwich. Medals and certificates were presented by several V.I.P.s and celebrities, including Lord King, Roger La Vern, Lord Davidson, H.R.H. The Crown Prince oif Burma, Reverend David Hanna and Patti Boulaye.

The event was reported in The Times Educational Supplement by Ms Georgia Laird and in The Weekly News Gazette by Uri Geller.

The STAR FOUNDATION AWARDS 2009

The S.T.A.R. Awards are being offered to children of secondary school age, with the hope that this will prove to provide them with a worthwhile incentive to excell in academic work and behaviour both in and out of school (rather like a junior M.B.E.).

As well as a medal and certificate, each nominee receives a small lapel badge (rather like the Rotary badge) which they can wear always and be instantly recognized as official award winners.

The more schools who join the new system of awards, the more pupils will strive for higher standards in class work, and the fewer discipline problems there will be for teachers.

There is absolutely no fee involved.

It is hoped that by the start of the new school year in September the whole project will be in full swing.

H.R.H Princess Ann has sent her approval, congratulations and good wishes for its success. Let us hope and pray that our wellwishers’ prayers will bear fruit.
